Here is our message to the Lincoln class of 2019; may it also be a reminder to all of us what a special place Lincoln is!
On April 29th, 2019 we lost a force in our Lincoln community, someone who molded boys – pibes – into exceptional men, and adolescents into respectful, considerate, team-playing adults. The legacy of Profe has continued for decades both inside these Lincoln walls, and outside into the world. The ACSAA exists because each of us knows, as do you, that Lincoln is a special place that continues to inspire us. At our reunions we know we are among family. We have experiences in common and a shared world view. We keep these connections because we want to help and support each other. The ACSAA is a family network, and you are a part of it. We are here for you to encourage and help you. If you’re homesick, look us up! If you’re looking for guidance or recommendations, look us up! Then in turn, we hope you’ll be there for our compañeros who will follow you.
These scholarships honor these two deserving students, but all of you are our hope for the future-- that the Lincoln legacies of Profe, Señora, Iris, Walter Liebling, Joe Czarnik, Doc Mittelman, Daniel Reyes, Tony Schrader, Ray McKay, Michelle McKay, Don Hannon, all our beloved teachers from the past, and the beloved teachers here today—continue to influence every corner of the world for decades to come.
Congratulations, and we will look for you as new alumni on the other side of graduation!
